Equilibrium statistical mechanics is by now a mature field, with a well defined scheme that enables us to calculate averages and fluctuations of most quantities of interest. In contrast, no single framework can do the same for non-equilibrium systems. In our group we explore different aspects of systems out of equilibrium, ranging from simple processes as periodically driven systems, through abstract concepts as the statistical mechanics of various computation schemes, to specific counter intuitive phenomena as the Mpmeba effect and related anomalous relaxation phenomena.
